Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the sales team with the implementation of annual sales plans by working in the field to help effectively grow sales within the heavy duty truck parts industry.  By doing so will contribute in such a way that enables the company’s sales goals to be met. Must be able to present the company’s products and services to current customers and prospects by utilizing various forms of demonstration (counter training, clutch clinics, professional proposals, and Power Points).

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Develop business relationships with and actively solicit business from customers in assigned territory within the heavy duty aftermarket industry.
  • Contact established customers on a regular schedule in addition to prospecting new opportunities.
  • Regularly contact and follow-up with prospective customers.
  • Maintain a current opportunities list and follow-up on all inquiries and leads. Provide report to supervisor on a monthly basis.
  • Assume responsibility to ensure all customers and prospects within assigned territory are aware of new programs, promotions, advertising material, and policies.
  • Work with existing customer base to train their employees on how to productively sell all Ace heavy duty aftermarket products.
  • Evaluate a basic warranty claim on customer site.
  • Assist customers with the warranty claim process, providing final evaluation report as applicable.
  • Work with manufacturer’s rep agency providing ride along assistance in the field.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with rep agencies within assigned territory.
  • Work with customers to ensure they are fully stocked with necessary products, catalogs, and marketing materials.
  • Know and understand the competition and their policies, pricing structure, distribution, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Supply necessary credit information on opportunities and existing customers as directed and perform collection follow-up calls when asked.
  • Responsible to keep supervisor informed of all competitive activity, effective sales programs, and customer reaction to company programs/policies.
  • Conduct clutch clinics to fleet distributors and their customers. Areas of training to include installation procedures, trouble shooting, application, failure analysis and warranty adjustments.
  • Assist in developing sales and training brochures and catalogs.
  • Assist in new product identification for development.
  • Assist in the development of annual sales plans.
  • Attend tradeshows and open house events.
  • Report customer complaints for ISO9001 Quality Program.
  • Requires regular overnight travel within the United States (75%).  Some travel may include being on the road for a week or longer at a time.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 Skills/Experience

  • Previous sales experience in heavy duty parts distribution is required.
  • Mechanical background with heavy duty trucks is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, email and the internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing are required.
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and team player required.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide proof of car insurance.

 Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time.
  • Must be able to frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to position self to assist with installation of clutch parts on vehicles, as needed by the customer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with customers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Occasionally moves audio/visual equipment and / or clutch parts weighing up to 75 pounds.

Title SALES MANAGER – HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH DIV.
Summary

Job Summary

Responsible for directing the sales efforts of the company’s heavy-duty clutch division at the direction of the Business Development Manager. Primary focus is to lead, manage and coach field sales team towards achieving company sales goals.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement annual sales plan to achieve company sales goals.
  • Manage and direct field sales team consisting of direct and independent sales reps.
  • Work closely with customer’s field sales management personnel providing sales support and technical training as needed.
  • Provide input on promotional programs that combine advertising with purchase incentives to increase sales.
  • Provide input on all contracts including, but not limited to: private label customers, buying groups, and rep companies.
  • Evaluate customer research, geographic market conditions, competitor data, sales rep results, and product developments in the marketplace.
  • Maintain corporate relationships with buying groups and private label customers.
  • In collaboration with other department managers, assist with monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services.
  • Oversee the training of all sales and field technician staff.
  • Monitor pricing of all products, analyzing margins and communicate price changes as directed.
  • Collaborate with business development team to analyze product issues and communicate needs in the field that lead to new product development.
  • Assist accounting department with setting up new credit accounts by obtaining information needed.
  • Promote the company’s core values.
  • Assist in improving communications company-wide, which will eventually lead to customer satisfaction and successful sales growth.
  • Develop and monitor sales budget, assuring that costs do not exceed approved budget, and no waste occurs.
  • Monitor forecast issues, intervening and assisting as needed.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Extensive travel required – 75%.

Skills/Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Business or equivalent career experience required.
  • 7-10 years of previous B2B Sales experience preferred in the heavy-duty aftermarket.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with other personnel is required.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to adhere to the Company’s Vehicle Usage policy.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate and present technical product information.

Title TOOL & DIE MAKER – 1ST SHIFT
Summary

TOOL & DIE MAKER – Rokwell Industries currently has an opening for a Tool & Die Maker in a full-time position working M-Th, 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  This position will be responsible for producing tools, dies, and specialized parts and devices used on manufacturing machines.  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyzing  print specifications, setup and operate machine tools to manufacture parts to specifications; maintaining the maintenance and repair of existing tooling fixtures; fitting and assembling tools to make and repair, jigs, fixtures, gauges and hand tools; setup and operate machining centers; build and maintain dies for production; designing tools, jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids; and verifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances of finished components using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Skills and Experience includes high school diploma or equivalent; formal training in an apprenticeship program, vocational school, community or technical college is preferred; eight (8) years of documented experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment; and knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Title MACHINE OPERATOR – 2ND SHIFT
Summary

Full-time position available M-Th, 3:20 p.m. – 1:50 a.m. with training being conducted on days.

Job Summary This position is responsible for operating machine shop equipment according to work instructions while utilizing lathes, millers, grinding or drilling machines to very close tolerances and to operate these machines for precision work within the Ace Production department.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Complete, accurate operation at assigned work cell to include:
    • Matching of job packet to job,
    • Control plans,
    • SPC sheets,
    • Insert sheets,
    • Proper gauging – progressive gauges, micrometers, and calipers,
    • Proper machine guarding,
    • Job cards.
  • Completion of legible and accurate paperwork.
  • Proper ID stamping of all parts. Job task must be performed “safely and satisfactorily”.
  • Immediate communication with the supervisor to advise when job is close to completion, completion of job, part irregularity, quality problems, machine malfunction or breakdown, and machine not making rate. Standard rate of 100% is to be maintained.
  • Is responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition.
  • Purchase of personal tools as required by company policy.
  • Dependability to work as a team to include daily attendance, on-time reporting to work station, and timely return from break periods and restroom.
  • Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
  • Assume other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Skills/Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a technical school in machine tooling is helpful.
  • 2-5 years of previous machining experience.
  • Ability to read directions, job orders, measuring instruments (ie. micrometers, calipers), blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with other personnel is required.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time, 90% of the time is spent standing.
  • Must be able to frequently move about the cell (work space) to access moving parts and machinery, etc.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
  • Frequently relocates metal parts and equipment weighing between .5 (1/2) pound up to 60 pounds at various times. Finished parts may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Summary

Job Summary

Implement instruction as given by the Supervisor or Manager to include press operation, machining, loading/unloading furnaces, coining, packing parts, mixing powders and the glue line operations.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Meet all quality requirements during production.
  • Meet all production standard requirements (rates, etc.).
  • Fill out paperwork as required correctly.
  • Ensure there are no deviations from baseline (work instructions) and if so notify the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
