Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the sales team with the implementation of annual sales plans by working in the field to help effectively grow sales within the heavy duty truck parts industry.  By doing so will contribute in such a way that enables the company’s sales goals to be met. Must be able to present the company’s products and services to current customers and prospects by utilizing various forms of demonstration (counter training, clutch clinics, professional proposals, and Power Points).

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Develop business relationships with and actively solicit business from customers in assigned territory within the heavy duty aftermarket industry.
  • Contact established customers on a regular schedule in addition to prospecting new opportunities.
  • Regularly contact and follow-up with prospective customers.
  • Maintain a current opportunities list and follow-up on all inquiries and leads. Provide report to supervisor on a monthly basis.
  • Assume responsibility to ensure all customers and prospects within assigned territory are aware of new programs, promotions, advertising material, and policies.
  • Work with existing customer base to train their employees on how to productively sell all Ace heavy duty aftermarket products.
  • Evaluate a basic warranty claim on customer site.
  • Assist customers with the warranty claim process, providing final evaluation report as applicable.
  • Work with manufacturer’s rep agency providing ride along assistance in the field.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with rep agencies within assigned territory.
  • Work with customers to ensure they are fully stocked with necessary products, catalogs, and marketing materials.
  • Know and understand the competition and their policies, pricing structure, distribution, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Supply necessary credit information on opportunities and existing customers as directed and perform collection follow-up calls when asked.
  • Responsible to keep supervisor informed of all competitive activity, effective sales programs, and customer reaction to company programs/policies.
  • Conduct clutch clinics to fleet distributors and their customers. Areas of training to include installation procedures, trouble shooting, application, failure analysis and warranty adjustments.
  • Assist in developing sales and training brochures and catalogs.
  • Assist in new product identification for development.
  • Assist in the development of annual sales plans.
  • Attend tradeshows and open house events.
  • Report customer complaints for ISO9001 Quality Program.
  • Requires regular overnight travel within the United States (75%).  Some travel may include being on the road for a week or longer at a time.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 Skills/Experience

  • Previous sales experience in heavy duty parts distribution is required.
  • Mechanical background with heavy duty trucks is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, email and the internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing are required.
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and team player required.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide proof of car insurance.

 Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time.

Title PROCESS ENGINEER
Summary

Job Summary

Responsible to assist the Friction Materials department with technical support, working close with other departments to define all operation parameters required to meet the quality standards of the different grades of friction materials to produce.  Teaming with production employees on the optimization of the shop process in order to maximize the output of all production without detriment of the quality of the product.  Research and development of practices and processes related to metallurgical and quality aspects of the heavy duty and performance friction material products.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Support the production of friction materials and parts.
  • Identify manufacturing issues. Root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Recommend and implement the improvement of friction materials and powder metal processes, equipment, and products.
  • Maintain and develop process and material specifications and work instructions.
  • Monitor and improve productivity, production efficiency, and scrap reduction.
  • Support safety, quality and production standard requirements.
  • Produce EAPA in case of any process or product deviations or changes.
  • Use of SPC and design of experiments.
  • Work with other departments of the company, raw material suppliers, vendors, customers, equipment manufacturers.
  • Oversee equipment repair and calibration.
  • Ensure that inventory records are accurately maintained and cycle counts are done in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of QS9000, ISO9001:2008 APQP process or ISO quality systems is required.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 

Skills/Experience

  • B.S. degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or similar field.
  • Sintering furnace and protective atmosphere experience a plus.
  • Tool and Die knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, email and the internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing are required.

Summary

TOOL & DIE MAKER – Rokwell Industries currently has an opening for a Tool & Die Maker in a full-time position working M-Th, 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  This position will be responsible for producing tools, dies, and specialized parts and devices used on manufacturing machines.  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyzing  print specifications, setup and operate machine tools to manufacture parts to specifications; maintaining the maintenance and repair of existing tooling fixtures; fitting and assembling tools to make and repair, jigs, fixtures, gauges and hand tools; setup and operate machining centers; build and maintain dies for production; designing tools, jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids; and verifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances of finished components using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Skills and Experience includes high school diploma or equivalent; formal training in an apprenticeship program, vocational school, community or technical college is preferred; eight (8) years of documented experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing environment; and knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Title SALES MANAGER – HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH DIV.
Summary

Job Summary

Responsible for directing the sales efforts of the company’s heavy-duty clutch division at the direction of the Business Development Manager. Primary focus is to lead, manage and coach field sales team towards achieving company sales goals.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement annual sales plan to achieve company sales goals.
  • Manage and direct field sales team consisting of direct and independent sales reps.
  • Work closely with customer’s field sales management personnel providing sales support and technical training as needed.
  • Provide input on promotional programs that combine advertising with purchase incentives to increase sales.
  • Provide input on all contracts including, but not limited to: private label customers, buying groups, and rep companies.
  • Evaluate customer research, geographic market conditions, competitor data, sales rep results, and product developments in the marketplace.
  • Maintain corporate relationships with buying groups and private label customers.
  • In collaboration with other department managers, assist with monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services.

  • Collaborate with business development team to analyze product issues and communicate needs in the field that lead to new product development.
  • Assist accounting department with setting up new credit accounts by obtaining information needed.

  • Assist in improving communications company-wide, which will eventually lead to customer satisfaction and successful sales growth.
  • Develop and monitor sales budget, assuring that costs do not exceed approved budget, and no waste occurs.

Skills/Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Business or equivalent career experience required.
  • 7-10 years of previous B2B Sales experience preferred in the heavy-duty aftermarket.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with other personnel is required.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to adhere to the Company’s Vehicle Usage policy.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Title FRICTION MATERIALS – MACHINE OPERATOR 2ND SHIFT
Summary

Full-time position available M-Th, 3:20 p.m. – 1:50 a.m. with training being conducted on days.

Job Summary

Implement instruction as given by the Supervisor or Manager in the day to day operations of the Friction Materials department to include press operation, machining, loading / unloading furnaces, coining, packing parts, and mixing powders.  This position is also responsible for the glue line operations.

 Job Summary

Ensure to provide excellent customer service to key accounts as assigned through phone, e-mail, chat, etc. in timely and accurate manner, while also providing support for outside sales efforts.     • Reports: Run a variety of sales reports; provide to management and customers as needed.
    • Assist other customer support staff as needed
    • Support of outside field staff
    • Assist with and provide data for ISO requirements
    • Assist with forecasting of certain inventory classes as assigned
    • Provide switchboard assistance as requested
    • Additional tasks as assigned
    • Occasional travel may be required

Skills/Experience

  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
  • Telephone skills, including switchboard experience, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing is required.
